Embracing Minimalism and Sustainability: The Simple Folk's Commitment to Ethical Fashion

The Simple Folk is a sustainable, ethical clothing brand that focuses on creating minimalist, eco-friendly garments for children and adults. Co-founded by Jamie Morea and Abi, the brand is committed to producing clothes with the highest environmental and social standards. Their pieces are handmade in an eco-friendly factory near Porto, Portugal, where they work closely with artisans who are treated with respect and provided with healthcare benefits. This factory is also GOTS and OEKO-TEX® certified, running on green energy and prioritizing sustainable practices like water recycling and solar power use.

The Simple Folk uses natural and organic fibers that are non-toxic and gentle on the skin, ensuring every component of their garments is safe for both people and the planet. Their materials are sourced from nearby mills and dyed in certified facilities, further minimizing environmental impact. Additionally, they have taken a strong stance on packaging, using recyclable and reusable materials for shipment.

At the heart of their philosophy is a commitment to conscious consumerism and sustainability, as reflected in their decision to mark up products at a lower rate compared to fast fashion brands, making their ethical clothing more accessible. Their approach encourages minimalism and thoughtful purchasing habits, helping families make better choices for the environment.

By educating consumers about the impacts of fashion production and the importance of sustainability, The Simple Folk strives to lead the way toward a more responsible and mindful fashion industry.
